Joe was quickly pulled out of the room by a team of paramedics. A policemen ran over to me and helped me up whilst the others looked around the room at Eliza and the man's bodies. The policeman chaperoned me down the stairs there was a few people putting nicks body in a body bag. I stopped walking and stood there staring for a minute before police man gave me a gentle pull.
“come on, you need to get out of here” I slowly began walking with him again, once I got outside fresh air filled my lungs. I looked around the whole house was tapped off and a bunch of neighbours were standing around the tape trying to find out what happened.
“TARYN!” I looked over and saw emma sitting on the back of one of the ambulances a blanket wrapped around her. She quickly ran over to me and hugged me “I got out and got shot in the arm. I dropped to the floor anyway I thought there was more chance of me getting away pretending to be dead for a minute than trying to keep running just then and then he went of and..and there were more of them all in black hoods and then they went and I ran to the police station and told them we came back straight away.” She started talking about something to do with police but I wasn't listening. I looked back to the house and watched as body bags on stretchers were being pushed out. The crowd outside stopped talking at once.
“miss, miss you need to come over here” it was the police man from earlier he took me over to a paramedic who immediately started to check me out. Before long he handed me something telling me to take it I did it without thinking.
I woke up in a warm bed, I was aching and I heard a small recurring beeping I slowly sat up.
“ahh your awake, how are you feeling ?” I looked around confused trying to work out what was going on when everything flooded back to me
“i..is everyone..dead?” the nurse looked down giving me my answer “w..what about joe?” I asked my voice cracking dreading hearing the answer
“I'm fine” I looked over to the door and saw Joe in a wheel chair with a coffee. He wheeled over to me. I could tell that his smile was forced.
“I'm so sorry, it's all my fault if I hadn't b”
“it's not your fault Taryn! Emma told us what happened and trust me most people would have went and looked. You did AMAZING keeping even yourself alive that guy was crazy” joe said with a smile
“Emma she said there was more ! What happened to them did they get away ?!”
“we got them all” he said quickly “whilst you were in the basement I got them, not before they got the others though” he looked down and I could tell he was thinking about nick and kevin
“ I'm sorry about your brothers” I whispered. “wheres emma?” I asked looking to the nurse
“i'm really sorry”
“what? b..but she was fine ! I saw her she was talking to me”
“she had to have surery to remove the bullet and it was deep in right next to a vein when they removed it. It split the artery they tried everything but she bled out...im sorry”

5 years later
I looked was sitting in the car joe stopped to quickly run into his friends house to grab something whilst me, nicholas and Emma waited in the car
“mummyyyy” nicholas asked and I looked around the seat
“yeah”
“Why's that house look like that?” he asked pointing out the window I looked over where he was pointing and saw jasmines house. The garden was over grown and it was falling apart. No one had lived in there since we came out of it 5 years ago. Jasmines parents moved out. It was all over the news what happened in that house for ages nearly everyone over the world knows what happened there. Me and joe had never told them who they where named after. Joe had retired and quickly recovered from the stabbing. I still have a lot of scars the most obvious one the burn mark on my neck from the cigarette.
“i'll tell you when your older..maybe” both emma and nick looked at me confused but didn't say anything else
When we got back home emma and nick ran up to their rooms arguing about which one was older even though they where twins.
“they asked about the house” I said quietly to joe as we walked into the kitchen to start making dinner. He looked to me looked away from me. I know he still misses his brothers they were like his best friends. I walked over to him and made him turn back round pecking his lips
“i bet kevin is up in heaven having fun and trying to keep the angle girls of him and I bet nick up their with emma making little cherub babies” he smiled slightly.
“i love you”
“MUMMY!” I heard emma scream “NICK PUNCHED ME”
“SHE PUNCHED ME FIRST!” I sighed and started walking out of the room, I quickly looked back to joe
“if i'm not back in 5 minutes, hurry up and save me”
