Clownation

Our world is filled with art that is for the passive enjoyers instead of what could be active creators. This all changed when Ryan McGuire (www.laughandpee.com); writer, director, and abstract artist, teamed up with cinematographer and editor, Rachel Ferro (www.rachelferro.com), to create Clownation, a short art film. It is about a city full of people living their lives; working, eating, playing, laughing. At first glance the City of Clownation appears to be normal, but when you look closer you notice a unifying difference: everyone is wearing a red clown nose.

Clownation is a collaborative visionary project that empowered the Ithaca NY community to experience art firsthand and to share in its exciting development. The film is five minutes long and the cast, aging from 2 to 73, consisted of over 50 actors.
