DeSmuME is by far the best Nintendo DS emulator available, and I decided to give it a test run. And wow, does it deliver! I only noticed 2 graphicals errors throughout this whole playthrough and the sound is emulated perfectly. I especially love the AVI dump utility. This allows you to dump rendered frames to an AVI, just as Dolphin does, but also dumps the sound data as well! This allows the video to be played back with full sound. Incredible!

The version I'm using here is build 0.9.5 SVN 2920 SSE2. I highly recommend giving DeSmuME a try. Undoubtedly a five-star emulator!

  • @pfaccioxx

the limit is 10:59 ,if it's 11:00 it's too long xD

  • i played this with desmume wii and it was very slow

  • lol

  • No error message... just everytime I try to load a rom it only goes to the title screen and I can't get into it...sometimes just a white screen or a black screen.

  • And speaking of "nothing goes to waste", that last comment had 0 characters remaining.

  • That's a common misconception, actually. I heard the extra minute is to provide slack for people who make their videos to 10:00 exactly, but some video editors/players may display the length as 10:00 while there could still be frames/milliseconds in the video that would cause YouTube to reject it.

If you'll notice, Part 2 of this video is exactly 11:00. Guess that 1 minute padding is hardly useful to Crash, always wanting to squeeze an extra minute of content in his videos for the viewers. :)

  • YES. Notice that this playthrough got higher ratings than the SM64 one.
