Demonstration on how to change replacement cartridges for your Aquasana AQ-4000. We'll show you how to replace each cartridge with easy to follow step-by-step instructions.

This procedure will also work for your Aquasana under counter water filtration systems as well. The only difference with the under counter AQ-4500 and AQ-4501 models is that you will find the main filter unit under the sink.

Aquasana drinking water filter cartridges should be changed every six months or 500 gallons to ensure peak performance.

There are two filters in the Aquasana drinking water filter. You replace both the A&B cartridges at the same time.

Replacement cartridges are available on Aquasana's website:

  • Hi Aqua Suana, I have been having issues with my counter top filter clogging in less then four months after relocating to Los Angeles, I just found out that you have fixed this issues utilizing a Diverter Pre-filter Cartridge. Would love if you could make a video explaining to people with high sediment in their water about your new product!!! It is awesome that you have found a solution to the problem.

  • @viva1che Thanks for the feedback! We are currently in the midst of creating new installation videos. That is a great one--thank you for suggesting it! We certainly shall put that idea into the mix!

  • This was extremely helpful, we were putting the blue filter in backwards!

  • @dkirk20 Oh no! Glad we could help out!

  • I was just curious. Since the inside is constantly filled with water, and you only open it once every 6 months to change, can it grow mold inside? I had a coffee pot that did eventually (the internal part of it) and have no idea why lol.

  • @candipoox There has to be a constant supply of air to the filter cartridges to cause mold to develop. As long as you change the filters every six months and use the system consistently, then there is no chance of mold developing in or on the filters inside. Enjoy!

  • @toplad007 New filters do often have slower flow than older ones because the media are newer and do a better job of filtering! You should be getting .4 gallons/minute. If you're getting less than that, you might have a clog of some kind. Please give us a call, and we can help troubleshoot. 866.662.6885.

  • lt seems the water shall flow out slow?
