We should follow all of the laws of man (because God puts into power all authorities) unless they contradict the Bible then we follow the Bible as the last word! Cultural context is from man and we are to follow the Word of God. Music was a huge part of life in Biblical times. I think what we need to know here is, we should be in the Word and learn Gods ways this is what we are instructed to do.

@randallheier 1Cor11:1, here is the explanation: greeks (men&women) didnt wear headcoverings, but jews (men&women did). Paul said men shouldnt wear it+cut hair short (glory is cut), but women should keep long hair(her&man's glory) and wear a headcovering (covers man's&her glory) in the presence of worshiping God (also an example to the angels in the heavenly realms who must also cover their glory in the presence of God). Come to think about it... :)its not a bad tradition to keep. See 1Cor11:16

@randallheier Music was very much a part of the culture in that day. I don't think they had the electronics we have today ;>) but they had huge theaters that had incredible sound. The bible doesn't change to suit the culture that is a very large part of our societal problems of today. Those verses that I posted are timeless and certainly don't change. God is timeless and he doesn't change and neither does his word. I understand what you are saying I just don't agree. It is ok to not agree.
