I feel sorry for all of those actual intelligent kids debating over whether they should be a news reporter, they could be that one exception to the news industry to where they speak something that makes perfect sense, only to be covered up by the fucking retards sitting next to him/her.
There's a rating system for a reason. It's the parents fault if they buy a 13 or 14 year old kid a 17+ game and then get pissed off when there's nudity in it.
What the hell is she talking about? My kids used to play games like Halo, Max Payne, they play that Gears of war game, and now they play that new call of duty game, my kids definitely know the difference. Its entertainment. If you don't like it don't buy it, but don't try to infringe on my rights as a consumer.
My favourite bit is where she uses the whole "women as objects" bit, but isn't this the same Cooper Lawrence who wrote (to an underage audience, I should add) in a cosmoGIRL book that men are, and I quote, "desirable hotties" who may or may not be "keeper[s]". I would say that treating men as possessions is pretty objectifying to them, and definitely just as, if not more, offensive as any of the minimal sexual content in Mass Effect.
Really, that bitch is a cunt, do some REAL research, the average age of a gamer is 35. And with that being said, it doesnt matter if this game has a sex scene, its an rpg. That means you just dont boot up the game and have sex with every blue chick you see. I have not played ME, but its an rpg so i guess you have to "build a relationship" in the game to even get there. What kid under 16 knows how to build a relaionship?
OK, video games have now been suppressed. Let's go and censor Lady Chatterley's Lover and Michelangelo's David! And don't forget to cut out the last line of Gone With the Wind! Don't want those poor kids gettin' the wrong idea!
Unbeleivable. If a news anchor had been this wrong about, say....sports, or governernment, they'd be laughed off the air, or downright fired. But with video games...of course, who cares about video games, right? Oh, right. The media, who slanders video games while doing little to no research, the media, who depicts scenes like having to fight African zombies in Africa rascist (of course, you should have to fight three white zombies for every black one, right?), the media, who so misinformed.
