Toaru Majutsu no Index III? Possibly... IV?

If there already making anime Art for Accelerator's WWIII outfit, then you know its a clear sign that Season 3 will soon be here. But considering the amount of plot left off from the last episode of season 2 and the rest of the plot onwards, it'll take a long while before the anime ever gets to that point, so its possible a Season 4 will also be released too. But again, don't take all of this as fact, if more information becomes available i'll post it in the Description Box. For now im just stating my Opinion that this could be a sign of good things to come and we wont need to wait anymore for Season 3. ^^ I really am looking forward to this, but then again I wont get to see Misaka Worst until season 4 T___T God damn it... *Sighs* As Touma would say "Fukou daaaaa~!"

Most likely there won't be a 3rd season sadly. But there's a movie that was announced. If you wanna read the rest of what happens, go to Baka-Tsuki and read the novels. I already read past WWIII. Have you noticed that most anime only has 1 or 2 seasons? (besides the mainstream anime like Bleach, Naruto, One Piece) And I'm pretty sure they would make the 3rd season before making the movie.

@kineticwaffles I beg to differ because when a series gets THAT big in Tokyo then there gonna produce more anime as an adaption to the novels and the manga. But right now the people at JC Staff has so much on there plate, for instance we got Zero no Tsukaima will be getting a new season in 2012 and there was another another anime which starts with an S...? Shakag-... something no... BAGH! Anywho me along with everyone here is hoping Toaru Majutsu no Index is in the lineup.

one season usually goes over 7 novels. at least that's how it was with the first 2 seasons. Including the SS1 and 2, we have a totall of 24 novels (exluding NT1) so that means, that either the 3rd season will be longer, or that we have 2 more detailed season.

@PikBube3 Im thinking were gonna have two more seasons and the fourth will be the last. An average of 2-3 episodes... maybe 4 should cover an entire arc. Because we still got the one arc where Touma goes to France (Avigon) to confront Terra (Accelerator and Group takes part in this too i believe) Hamazura will also have a bigger role this time around since the ending of season 2 was premiering him and GROUP. Then we got the Battle Royale Arc which is after that.

But other than that, I really hope that JC Staff is planning a third season. It's their best-selling series besides Shakugan no Shana. And with that Index II PV, there was a scene with Acqua and Terra, and they didn't appear in II. Well, this season+next season JC Staff is finishing up what they started (Shana and that other one) so maybe they will make a season 3 during the Spring 2012 or Summer?

I think there is definitely enough material for a season 3. But you have to take into account the upcoming movie first since that will be JC Staff's priority with Index. They'll probably move onto Season III afterwards. Season III will either conclude the God's Right Seat Arc or end right before the World War III arc. Fourth Season will probably take place AFTER there is enough material (New Testamant Volumes) since only two of them have been released and the third is being released in December.

FIVE_Over and Dragon RIder (that stuff there in katakana) are also references to the New Testament series.

We don't need to look for proof, I mean, why shouldn't JC Staff continue animating the most popular light novel series in the world?

Anyway, shouldn't yall be eagerly awating an Index/ Railgun dub, since Funimation has the license?

I seriously hope you're right; I love Index, absolute FAVOURITE anime of allll tiiiime and I'm seriously DYING to see Kakine animated. I LOVE HIM. MORE MORE MORE JC STAFF MAKE MORE INDEX WE WANTS MORE!!!!

@UzamakiNaruto085 the arc with Terra of the Left comes right next (volume 14), after thet there is battle royal (vlume 15) and then Aqua of the Back (volume 16). Since SS2 is more of a flashback than anything else, it might just need 1 or 2 episodes. after that it is the rebellion in London (volume 17-18). Than we are back in the underground of Academy City (volume 19) and at least it's WW III (volume 20-22).

For me 2 more seasons are doubtfull, since we don't have enough matterial for 2 full
