Seadragon is an incubation project resulting from the acquisition of Seadragon Software in February. Its aim is nothing less than to change the way we use screens, from wall-sized displays to mobile devices, so that visual information can be smoothly browsed regardless of the amount of data involved or the bandwidth of the network.

It was a 3 years ago, the project name changed to Pivot, and it's still experimental, I hope my grand children will see its 1st beta, and my grand grand grand children even might get lucky enough to use it for their own pictures on a home pc.
If we all get lucky some one will open a start up to make a competition on that project that a year after will sell it to Google and then we all will use it instead of watching another beta version.
It's a shame shame how a good project can get barried...

Imagine knowing the layout of (assuming) the entire building your swat team is planning on invading!? WIth enough power, memory, and money...constantly-changing environments could be recorded by billions of cameras and any location mapped out for...who ever...to see! Shoot you might even be able to follow/stalk a person if desired!!
