  • How much pressure/force can the solenoid put on the pin? I ask because the possibilities for a remote solenoid are endless - not the least being used in a Rube Goldberg machine - pushing bowling balls, etc. Any suggestions for building one capable of exerting 5-10 pounds per square inch of force?

  • Thanks - of note the AC pull solenoid used has a nice linear power curve to the stroke length. Where DC solenoids are strongest at the shorter end of the stroke. Also your AC solenoid shows good speed. People do not realize how useful and economical these are for projects beyond door locks....

  • sale it to jigsaw

  • way cool.

  • i would recomend hooking up a deep cycle battery to it incase of power failure .

  • maybe u can propose it to te american iventor :P

  • just lightly kick the door im sure tht piece of wood the lock is attached to will just come right off.
