Irresistible, uptempo soul/funk title cut from Star Search winner Peggi Blu's 1980 debut! Written and produced by Jerry Ragovoy. This was several years before she went on to win the competition. Be sure to check out my interview with Peggi on SoulMusic.com!

  • She was known simply as Peggy Blue back then! I bought the MCA 45 and album, by whom I assumed to be a "new artist", only to notice some time afterwards that she sings background on Lou Courtney's iconic 1973 album on Epic "I'm In Need Of Love" - along with underground Soul hero Carl Hall!

  • glad to see another generation know who peggy blu is, she didn't have the spotlight as many others but she is an amazing vocalist, & this song was a black out the room party song in many underground disco clubs that catered to black gay men. its a classic.

  • Nice. Smooth, rare groove - sounds a bit like Cheryl Lynn or Sharon Brown from around this time. Heck, I'll buy anything with a hot black disco/funk chick on the cover lol

  • I bought this album when I visited LA for the first time. abot 30 years ago. I did not know who she was, but I was happy when I came home and listened to it.

  • she's the coach from hell in american idol!
