Yay. Interrogation by God.
1. Where were you when I laid the foundations? Sorry, God. The earth is not a building and does not have foundations.
2. Who determined its measurements? Physics + the amount of matter drawn together by its own gravity.
3. Who came up with the blueprint? There is no blueprint. Again, we're not talking about a building.
4. To what were its foundations fastened? Again, no foundations, not a building.
5. Who laid its cornerstone? No cornerstone, not a building.

@Sarge7090 ...without our help that watch could not have been created, and could not exist. So since the watch had a creator and did not just randomly appear, or spontaneously assemble, we could not just randomly appear, or spontaneously assemble, there must have been a cause there must have been a creator to create that cause. It is simply necessary.

@Sarge7090 "After about 2 years of looking around I decided that the explanation of the Big Bang made sense to me." I agree with the big bang theory also, it does not conflict with the premise of Christianity, in fact it supports it, in the Kalam Cosmological Argument. Look at some William Lane Craig debates, he is a genius, and adept at argumentation.
"...but I also think that life is different from a watch in that with out our help the watch can do nothing..."
This is my point precisely...

@Sarge7090 Ok, I'm only in high school too and really quite intrigued by the subject, but I think there is no possible way for the universe to exist outside a creator. Ill try to explain it using the Kalam cosmological argument first proposed by William Lane Craig; "Whatever begins to exist has a cause. The Universe began to exist. Therefore, the Universe had a cause." Which means if the universe has a cause, a purpose then it must have a creator.

I'm very sorry for the ugliness of this I am a very new member. (In reverse)
In life's case the structures required to form the DNA strands are helped along by the forces of physics. It would not be a random event like it is often described as (I am not referring to you or even the majority of creationists, but only the majority of videos and comments I have seen here) but rather a sequence of events that happens much like a puzzle, where this piece can only fit here and this one only there.
-
So, while I won't try to boast my education (because I'm in high school) I will say that this had changed my perspective on the universe.
Now on the Idea of finding a watch on another planet I agree with you that there is (or would be) a creator, but I also think that life is different from a watch in that with out our help the watch can do nothing, where as scientists have created a self replicating molecule by simulating the environment that they expect the Earth was like that many yeas ago.

My switch to this view point came on slowly while reading some theoretical physics books ("Physics of the Impossible" by Michio Kaku and "Why does E=MC^2" By Brian Cox and Jeff Forshaw) and while reading in science journals on the Internet. Throughout this I had been (and still am) awed by the sheer vastness of the Universe, and in being so had looked up the different theories for creation. After about 2 years of looking around I decided that the explanation of the Big Bang made sense to me.

@Zayin1993 Thank you for responding to my comment. I used to be a Christian and everyone I met was a wonderful person, so I will try not to be a insulting idiot like others on YouTube. My personal belief is that an ultimate creator is not necessary for creation.
-
@Sarge7090 ..."wow look at what chance has come up with", rather I would say, "who has been here before me?" Same case in our universe, we as Christians say, "Wow, look at what He has created.", where Atheists, right off the bat, look up and say, "no way could there have been a creator."
-
@Sarge7090 Wow, that comment was over a year ago. wow... please excuse my unorganized thoughts there. It looks like an idiot posted that.
Anyway my views on God have not changed... So, I wanted to bring up something you put in your comment first off. "...we can see that a god would not be necessary for creation.", first, God would have to be necessary for creation, because for a creation there must be a creator. For instance if I walked on mars, found a watch, I would not think...

@Zayin1993 We, as atheists, build paths away from the bible to increase our understanding of the universe. This however, leads to the conclusion that God is not real. Even from our minimal understanding of the way the reality works we can see that a god would not be necessary for creation. In short our logic prompts us to build our own path, and to explore further into the realms of SCIENCE.

Hello, I am a deist and I will have to side with you that GOD does exist but we will come to a different conclusion on WHO GOD is. I’m not here to debate with you but I would like to know the soundtrack of this song on the video because I find it ear southing. Thanks and may we all unite as humanity to recognize and KNOW who GOD is.
GOD SPEED!

@FiniteForce Greetings to you too! The song is "Mysterium" by Libera (a boys church choir from UK).

"jesus christ is the most famous person in all of history because more that 500 people saw him alive (physically) after dying on a cross."
Why, then, can't I see him? I mean 'more than 500' people saw him after dying, so why can't I see him?

I see you come from a Christian background... Jesus is the truth. Don't let others fool you. Atheists just want to create a "god" that offers zero accountability for one's actions.
Can you imagine living life thinking that no one is watching you when you are in a room all alone? You are free to engage in all kinds of sin without feeling guilty. The only authority you would have to fear would be the government and you know they aren't omnipresent!
Moral laws come from a moral law giver--God.
