Save The Chidren EVERY ONE campaign.
This video is created by the team Matchbox (comprising of Abhinit Agarwal and Anupama Sirsalewal).
In our world today nearly 11 million children under the age of 5 die in the world every year well over 1,200 every hour most from easily preventable or treatable causes.
2 million children in India die every year from easily preventable diseases. A child dies in India every 15 seconds.
Well the above statistics may just seem numbers, but they are facts. Under-Five child mortality is a grave problem faced by today world and it needs to be solved desperately.
EVERYONE is a campaign by the NGO Save The Children which aims to achieve United Nation's Millennium Development Goal 4 which is to reduce under-five child mortality rate by two-thirds by 2015.
This video focuses on the fact that child mortality is intimately connected to maternal mortality.37% of under-five child deaths around the world are caused before, during or just after child birth. We need is the will - from politicians, the public, aid agencies, NGOs, corporates, EVERY ONE - to provide right to survival to not one or two child but EVERY ONE.
