well done.

There's no law that says you can't play clawhammer with a resonator on if you like the sound you're getting. Great job.

Sounds great! I'm learning this exact version right now in lessons and am loving it.

nice playing...i really enjoy this post....thanks.

I listened to a number of your videos and like your playing on the fretless especially. Have you noticed that the sound of the banjo in the videos is fuzzy when the lighting is low? The mic on the camera works better when the focus is better, which happens when there is more light. If you haven't listened to Wade Ward play clawhammer on a resonator banjo you'll find it a great learning experience.

i like Clawhammer this is the sound of the banjo for me. I like Mr. Earl, but i think the banjo banjo is made for us. you know. ritch people.

Oh, I see I've been here before, lol. great tune.

Try stuffing a towel between the resonator and the head. You'll get the same sound without spending more money. By the way, good job!

WAIT! is that a Deering Goodtime 2?
very nice. I have the same banjo. If you're playing clawhammer though, its best to take the resonator off (you really only want the resonator on if you're finger picking)

I'm actually looking to get a new open-back banjo. When I got into banjo, I didn't know anything about them or the styles of music. If I had known I'd like clawhammer so much I would have started of with an open back.
