An excerpt from the fifth season episode of The One True Faith.

Perhaps the single most devastating issue for the Church in the modern world has been the deliberate misrepresentation of Church teachings in the arena of Catholic education. Students at every level and in every kind of Catholic institution have been betrayed wholesale. Join host Michael Voris for an in-depth examination of the failings and betrayal of those charged with teaching the Faith.

  • I'm sure what the video is saying about the lack of education is true in some parishes, however, in our parish school the students receive an excellent catholic education. I sent my children and not only did they receive religious education at school but also at home. Afterall, faith starts at home before they are old enough to go to school. It is our responsibility as parents to raise and teach our children in the catholic faith. God Bless to All, Sal

  • While there are some schools which are good, there are also many which are absolutely not - and this is very sad.

  • Maybe Mr. Voris can do a program on how Modernism has infected many in the Church, and how many wish to destroy tradition. He hits the nail right on the head with regard to "Catholic" schools. I learned most of the Faith on my own, not in my "Catholic" schools.

  • >> a program on how Modernism has infected many in the Church

This is the theme for much of Season Six - clips from this will be available on YouTube very soon!

  • Catholic Apologetics is the next big thing

Many Catholics are taking the Catholic Faith in their own hands and learning about it, to defend, and to spread the Word of God and the Catholic Faith.

Ironically, it took the slanders and vicious attacks by evangelical protestants to wake up many Catholics to immersed themselves in their Faith and learn Catholic Apologetics.

  • @campaigners

God protected the Catholic Church from the pagan Roman Empire, and Christianized it.

He protected the Church from internal schism.

He saved it from the Muslims.

He guarded it against godless Communism.

The Lord won't abandon his Church or his people.

  • This is so True. I went to a Catholic School and I learned nothing but how to pray the Hail Mary. I didn't even know what a Sacrament was until I was 40 and research it MYSELF! Many people leave the Church because they are hungry for GOD but receive no answers. I converted to Judaism and lost 20 years of my life because I received no instruction from the Church. Everything I know about Catholicism I had to learn for MYSELF. Disgraceful!

  • He pretty much described my 12 years of "Catholic" education.

  • This is so true. ALL the cathechism I leaned came from my parents. My parish CCD was such a joke I started going to the Baptist church because they bused us to their church. By grace, I was able to discern the inaccuracy of protestantism. I was confirmed in my senior year. Now I teach CCD and I hope I reach at least one child each year.

  • Amen to everything stated in this video. When is the last time, if ever, parishioners have seen a Roman Catholic priest "defend the chalice" by refusing to give the Eucharist to a person in the communion line, who is not supposed to receive it? Yet we have all seen people we know who should not be receiving the precious Body and Blood (non-Catholics, people in a state of unrepentant sin) receiving it just the same.

  • in my school i heard about cardinal virtues teoligical vitues; , but theese are things that u may ear as preparation for first comunion , but in my school i heard almoust nothing about the bible o Christ , is just a very theorical speech about the faith or Christ, this is sad, i think....after that you may became atheist, protestant , or whatever...(look my profile 2 see where my school was....)by the way I'm quite sad when i think about the formation om my chatolic school...

  • A lot of modernization has caused good things, like equal rights for women and minorities, but some values have been compromised because of this change, and it is important to be able to distinguish good changes to tradition from principles that need to continue.

  • I went to a Catholic gradeschool, and only in 8th grade did we learn about apologetics. Otherwise the video is absolutely right. From 1st -7th grade I could have gone to a Baptist school and it would not have made a difference.

I also became an atheist for a few years (before we finally covered apologetics).

I refuse to go the the local Catholic highschool. I have learned more outside of the Catholic schools than inside. This is outrageous, and must change.

  • Yes this is SO true! I had committed a mortal sin in my sophomore year of high school. I won't go on any further in discussing what it was, but I was struck by a constant calling in my conscience telling me to turn from my sin. I panicked and realized what I had done, so I went to my counselor at the CATHOLIC school i was attending, and was told that what I had done was completely acceptable. I was told that premarital sex was ok too. I was told that gays should be together in relationships etc

  • i went to ccd and we really just learned that God loves you and everybody. I diddent know about transubstanceation untill i was 13.......from the simpsions. i learned once about the immaculate conception the teacher was talking about how we all commit sins(he never mentiond what sins were) and he said "except for Mary she never sined" ccd was a wast of money
