  • @kwakky well, cause I'm putting my own meaning onto it. "you don't have to be afraid love, cause I'm a safe surfer darlin" becomes a message to my family, not to worry about me dying, cause I'll be alright, out there in the ether, wherever it is you go. As for the epic 9 minute space rock, fuck, it's my funeral man, I'm allowed to live a little! Supposedly the most popular choice for one's own funeral is "simply the best" by Tina turner. Now that's ego.

  • @jonahstevenson Do you know of a Peggy Suicide album cover tshirt? I am DYING to own one if they exist.

  • @Eldritchard Then likewise...that is your own projecting if you take that line as a homophone, and that Cope was "clever" enough to mean it as that!

  • @figurehead1971 Cope merely meant the song as a warning to heterosexuals not to get too smug about HIV only being a danger to gays.

  • when i don't die,i want this to be my song ;)

  • Fret wanking never sounded so orgasmic, tender and transcendentally delicious!!!!!!!!

  • @kwakky

Ouch ... dya know what i'd never spotted it .... but maybe you are right. Either way the guitar warrants a pay ... even at a funeral.

  • A tune sadly ignored..... how did this not be huge in the states or round the world?? It is awesome now and it was awesome then...

  • . . . . for my funeral too, jonah.

  • why would you want a song about guys trying to pick up girls by claiming they're different from all the guys out there in the world with hiv and other diseases played at your funeral? furthermore, why do you feel your death would be such a momentous occasion as to warrant a 9-minute acid rock epic being played at your funeral?
