The Black Conservative

Black conservatives have been called everything from Uncle Tom's to sell outs to their race. Why? Because they had the audacity to join the Tea Party. That's right.....the same Tea Party that we've all been told is comprised of only old angry white men. During the 2008 election, the liberal media even went so far as to suggest that a black American who doesn't vote for Barack Obama must not have any pride. Although the 2010 election included 30 black conservatives running for seats in the House and the Senate, the liberal media continues to try and convince the American people that there has to be something wrong with a black American with conservative views. In my opinion, there is nothing that takes more courage in these politically divided times than being a black conservative. As you have just witnessed, the left simply will not tolerate black, or female citizens making their own decisions when it comes to politics. Walter Williams has a good book on the subject of the deterioration of the Nubian American family entitled, "The State Against Blacks" (1984).

I'm 17 and black and a conservative and I despise Obama and everything he stands for he is the worst president of my lifetime but because of him being so bad I've gotten more and more into politics and realized that conservatives/libertarians have the MUCH better mindset then that of liberals and prez Obama and I now know where I stand

@TheCaliCapitalist I mean no disrespect, but just think about this for a minute. Republicans are racist because we don't have black candidates, even though we do. When a black Republican runs, they are self-hating sell outs. The Republicans who support them are doing so to cover up their racist views. This makes sense to you? Did you even watch the video? We could sit around all day throwing examples from each side at each other. You would only see it on the right at the end of the day. Sad.

@Rugratsbaybayyy Not just your lifetime, but statistically, he is the worst fiscal minded president in US history. We are now at 102.3% debt to GDP ratio. When GW left office it was 68% to 72%. Only one other time, (1950) has it been 100%. GW spent 19.9% GDP compared to BHO's 24.6%GDP. If one is keeping score, Reagan; 22.4%, Bush 41; 21.9%, Clinton; 19.9%, GW; 19.9% and BHO; 24.6% with a drop of 1.8% in revenue. Gotta love change (borrowed), 'cause hope is all that's left.

@wogdoggy The Dyer Anti-Lynching Bill, introduced by Representative Leonidas C. Dyer, a Republican from Saint Louis, Missouri, in the US House of Representatives in 1918, was directed at punishing lynchings and mob violence. Although the bill passed the House of Representatives in 1922, 1923 and once more in the Senate due to filibusters by the white Southern Democratic block.

When people are liberated from government, conservatism/libertarianism/an­archism is the result. When it happens to a minority, the bigots cry racism. Aren't minorities allowed to exercise free will? I'm a black conservative who has never felt the sting of racism from a fellow conservative, yet the left says that I must be a self hating black man because I believe in fiscal responsibility. I'm not religious at all, yet you know better. You people try to keep telling me who I "really" am. Don speaks out about it, and you tell him he needs to do some research.
