Review of Xantrex Xpower Powerpack with 400 watt inverter & solar panel. I picked one up off ebay and thought I would share my findings & opinion. Connected external solar panel to confirm ability to charge with auxiliary panel. This is my first "produced" video, so go easy on me I need a lot of practice of speaking on camera. Thanks for watching......
For true home emergencies, I wont be worried much about charging usb devices, computers, and t.v. My main concern would be running heat, air conditioning, deep freezers, refridgerators, stove and water heater. Important life equipment. Illumination needs can be sustained much cheaper.

Nice review man, I had one of these a while ago. I exchanged it for a non solar xantrex powersource 400, (40 ah battery). My problem was the solar panel not being weather proof, which didn't allow me to get maximum charging current (my window has uv protection) and the 10 ah battery was a little skimpy too. I still wanted to have a solar backup, so I built my own for about what the powerpack solar cost. 125 ah battery, 20 watt solar panel (got it for a really low price) 75 watt inverter.
