My dad now sadly passed , on coming home wanted to remember all his mates that died but realised there were too many. So he chose 1 name to hold that man was Sid Savage. So in the passing years we spoke his name every year. So as 11.11.11. comes again we speak Sid's name & now my dad Jacko. R.I.P. & thanks

It's that time of year again Dad.
I'll be there for you on parade again 11/11 with the few of your old mates who remain.
R.I.P. My Dad, my hero.

My grandfather was an Old Contemptible who fought right through WW1 nearly a hundred years ago. He fought in the war to end all wars.........and we're still at it. Shame on all those who start this gruesome business and those that profit from it. Glory be to ALL Bands of Brothers.

For every time a people cheer to go to war, this should be played as a reminder that all that is left, in the end, is the horror of loss for lives that should have been lived and love that never should have ended. So many souls sacrificed for things that, in the end, were pointlessly defended. Someone always starts these things and the rest of us have to finish them. Ten years later, we cannot tell the difference. A life is a life, friend or enemy.

My great great grandfather fought on the first day of the Somme with the British Army, he never spoke about the horrors he witnessed, including 60,000 casualties on the first day alone. He was always against the anti-German propaganda painted out in England, he always said "remember the Germans, for they died aswell". Also god bless my grandmothers cousin who died aged 16 in the Royal Navy when his ship was sunk by the Bismarck.
God bless all our brave British soldiers, past and present.

My husband is retired from the Royal Ulster Constabulary. This particular rendition chokes him but makes him feel a prouder man for serving his Queen and country. R.I.P. all of the 'fallen'.

To my grandfather, as a salor in the U.S. Navy during WWII and Korea you went above and beyond the call of duty, rest in peace salor. Because as a United States Marine It is now my job to do the same.
