The information economy is the business of connecting people together. Communications and social relations have significantly changed with the development of new technologies, easing the barriers of distance and time.

As all of Asia becomes increasingly more connected via the internet, cell phones, SMS and more, Canada has the increasing ability to connect with the pacific. Opportunities and challenges abound in the information economy, but with Canada's multicultural heritage and rapidly developing communications technology industry we have the ability to make a uniquely suited partner to Asia.
