@bratcheda1 Screw you dumbass. I love Shostakovich, he's my favorite composer and the subject of my dissertation. I've also briefly met Maxim Shostakovich at Cadogan Hall.

You're taking my comments out of context. He never composed rubbish, but certainly 'lesser works.' My original gripe was with this particular video, 'His Best Works'. All I said was that this video shows his lesser works and by and large omits the great ones.

@gregapage Do you really think Shostakovich is able to produce crap, if he is the same composer who can produce great works? It is your right not to like some of his pieces, but I don't think it is right to be offensive about works that do not appeal to you personally.
