The Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa has been undergoing a restoration program for over 5 years now. On May 22, 2010, the museum will open its doors completely and show off the refurbishment.
Over two years ago, half the museum opened, with the dinosaur (fossils) gallery, Birds in Canada and Mammals in Canada exhibits. When the museum opens on May 22, you'll also be able to see the Water Gallery (complete with a rare blue whale skeleton!) and Earth Gallery, as well as "creepy critters," a new cafeteria and gift shop, new theatre and new group entrance area.
This video was shot in February 2010 and shows how construction is progressing in the new areas.
