@MissPopPrincess161 ...P.S. Although your friend may be faking. Please don't undermine her journey. She may have feelings she's unable to share with you. I know you wouldn't want to add to her pain in case it is real. =)
I am so sad that you are hurting...I hope seeking outside help will give you the tools to work through your issues and bring real, visceral joy back into your life =)
P.P.S. Doing some voluteer work can also work wonders for depression. Push yourself to try it.

Besides talk therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is also great because it helps you indentify unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors, learn to realize when they begin to occur, so that you can ultimately replace them with healthy thoughts and behaviors. Perhaps you could go to both types of therapy...

@MissPopPrincess161 ... It would be good to go to each one for 1-3 visits, until you find someone you click with. If a therapist brings up things that make you upset, irritated, angry...but you can tell they're doing it to challenge you for your own good, that they care about you and are trying to help you, then that's a good thing. If they are making you feel that way, but it feels like they are getting some sort of pleasure out of your pain, get out quickly...

I want to give you a heads up, please don't worry, this is just to prepare you so you get the best help. Unfortunately, there are a LOT of mentally ill therapists. So if you feel like their listening in a gossipy way, or they're disinterested, move on...

im going thru a depression, and im considering seeking help, but everyone of my friends and of my family that i talk to about ths tells me im just tired everybody just have their fake smiles on, comforting me while their thinking that im a liar.
the worst thing is that one of my friends think she has a depression (but i know she doesnt) and all she does is talking about it, and everyone focus on her and comforts her, and i stand in a corner feeling like am left outside in the dark
help me :(

loved this. its sad, but in some way comforting to know that other people somewhere out there atleast have a clue about what im going through. unlike my family and people that i meet who only see fake smiles
