Sounds good.Takin the cat out makes it way more raspy ya can also get it to pop flames.I found it reduces low down power a bit but revs easier and fuel consumtion goes up a bit.Ya cnt beat 6 cylinder sound!!
actually...cats arent as restrictive as you may think. but you are correct. there would be pretty much no hp gain...unless your cats were clogged.....
Yes, it does make a difference in noise. Having no cats to restrict the flow does affect the sound as you can tell in this video.
Power-wise, you *might* get a non-noticeable gain (read: 2-3 brake horsepower), if any at all since the engine doesn't have to work as hard to push the exhaust gases through the pipes, so basically, you're freeing up a bit of power that the car already possesses that would've been robbed had he kept the cats on.
@neillmckinley i think is takes about 10 hp of the car removeing the cats

When i replaced mine i got a deeper and lil louder sound. Some people say removing cats makes it get raspy.

Taking the cats out just means the system will not sound good anymore, it will be very harsh and crackle (in a bad way).

Damn, that was one hell of a run-on sentence.
