Mini Z Drift Battles

Legendary lunchtime drift showdowns between the Lotus Europa, Chevrolet Corvette, Nissan Skyline, and Lamborghini Countach Kyosho AWD Mini Z.

Drift battles are single or multiple lap races with emphasis on both drifting style and speed. The battles are normally run in one direction, although the "There and Back" varieties impose a reversing requirement after each lap. Such a race sees substantial carnage, as each car completing a lap is required to 180 and run the subsequent lap backward. The natural separation of cars necessitates moments of opposing driving directions.

The track barriers were graciously made by a colleague out of squared strips of foam with velcro to adhere to the carpet. All the Mini Zs are running standard Kyosho or Atomic hard plastic drift tires.
