I DIDN'T KNOW I STAYED BY A QUARRY, I JUST MOVED TO GEORGIA AND WAS SITTING IN THE HOUSE AND HEARED A BIG BOOM AND SHOCK THE HOUSE

This is very cool! I am almost done a degree in civil engineering (structural minor), but I think I want to focus on geotechnical engineering... it just seems so incredible.

is limestone quarry water really bad for you?
there is a quarry here that we want to swim in but we've heard bad things!
haha like when you get out of the water your skin will sizzle off.

i work in a quarry mostly with basalt an quartz dolerite.looks like u got the charges perfect,have seen rocks the size of a small car travel a long way when its gone wrong !!

limestone is easy to break though: you can see the steaming sits perfectly still.. I worked with silica: that's a blast..
how close from the blast was that excavator?? what about the conveyors??

Approx. 150 feet. There is also a 2.0 million dollar mobile crusher that you can't see. Makes for some tense moments but we haven't had any mishapes in 8 years.
