This video series takes a critical look at the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) recently signed into law. This law is just the most recent example of our government using the justification of fear and the war on terror to remove the constraints on government power which are intrinsic to our Constitution. If you examine the ramifications of the changes, it becomes clear that the wisdom of the protections of civil liberties included in our constitution can and should be applied to the modern age.

It may soon be considered a threat to the government if a person supports the Constitution of the USA.

Some Union soldiers were tried for what people thought they were trying to do to steal union arms and free confederate soldiers. The war ended before their date with the hangman and so they were able to legally fight it where it went to the Supreme Court-they ruled you can only take the kinds of actions only if the court system was inoperable. If the courts worked-you cannot do this and those soldiers were set free.

m one of those people who are more concern ed with freedom as opposed to credit(please understand I wrote this before viewing the video.) First-what the hell is the dept of Homeland Security for. No matter what one thinks of DHS-it was started for the mission of what they7 say we need the military policing us with the ideal of America as a battle field. I n the Civil war something similar happened where these soldiers were tried for insurrection where they thought they would steal Union arms...
