instead, chicken ought to be cared for, nourished, allowed to roam freely in open air, provided with proper psychological as well as medical support and bonded emotionally with the farmers, before their heads are gently chopped for dinner. humane treatment is fine and dandy but it only serves to make them yummier for our palate, and nothing else. and should that make our conscience clearer?
