  • That was from The Lucy Show.

  • On 1980s prints of "Star Trek (The Original Series)" this logo (with a 1978 copyright for Paramount) was followed by the "MacGyver" variation of the Paramount TV "Blue Mountain." Paramount's logo was videotaped, and had virtually no trace of movement except for when the word "Television" was to slide in from the right under the Paramount name. The jingle for the PTV logo was the 1979 music.

  • Desilu has made the following famous:

Andy Griffith, Don Knotts, Ron Howard, Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Danny Thomas, Walter Brennan, Richard Crenna, Robert Stack, Robert Culp, Bill Cosby, Marlo Thomas, William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Peter Graves, Greg Morris, Peter Lupas, Martin Landau, Hugh O'Brien, Eve Arden, Barbara Bain, Jim Nabors, George Lindsay, Mike Connors and Robert Reed

These people became Big Time Stars thanks to Desilu, God Bless'em all, R.I.P. Lucy & Desi and Thank You

  • This new logo was fro the Lucille Ball years at Desilu which produced Mission Impossible, Star Trek, Mannix, and Lucy's shows. A great studio

  • I saw this at the end of Star Trek.

  • Fausto2K uploaded some.

  • "Desilu" had been an independent production company from the time Lucy & Desi originally formed it in 1950. She bought his share out in November 1962, continuing to operate the company until she sold it to Gulf + Western {Paramount's corporate parent} in 1967. By 1968, it became "Paramount Television". VIACOM didn't acquire Paramount until the '80s, 'jong', so their logo wasn't seen on any "Desilu" series in syndication until then.

  • In a way, they have. In order to get financial rights to their parents' work from "I Love Lucy" to "Here's Lucy", Lucie Arnaz & Desi Arnaz, Jr. formed Desilu, Too, LLC. Smart business decision!
