With Rajiv Gandhi midway through his five-year term as prime minister of India in 1987,a series of corruption scandals were eroding his credibility and authority and contributing to India's political malaise.

Before the prime minister Rajiv Gandhi could recover, his government was hit by yet another scandal. On April 15 a state-owned Swedish radio station broadcast allegations that a huge commission had been paid to an Indian agent on a $1.3 billion defense contract to purchase Swedish Bofors 155-millimeter howitzers. Later reports confirmed the payment of an estimated $38 million in commissions. Gandhi and his cabinet denounced the report as part of a foreign conspiracy to destabilize India, but the Swedish radio station said it had documented proof that four payments were made into a Swiss bank account code-named Lotus.
Still another scandal erupted when the Indian Express published a photocopy of a property deed showing that the brother of Amitabh Bachchan, a member of Parliament and Gandhi's boyhood friend, owned an expensive apartment in Switzerland in violation

That is very nasty thing to say about such a great actor or other religion. Please if you have nothing good to say do not say anything at all.
