PNC Bank Executive VP Dan Taylor Commits to Work with Cruz Family

May24th, Pittsburgh - A delgation of supporters of the Cruz family delivered a letter to PNC Bank's national headquarters asking them to negotiate with the family, and to ask Freddie Mac to halt the eviction process while they are working out a solution.

Executive VP Dan Taylor took the letter by hand and committed to work to resolve the issue saying: "I will deal with them, and I will deal with this one today."

The bank has also committed to asking Freddie Mac to halt the eviction and has asked for income verification documentation from the family to pursue a loan modification.

What's the "error"? I am very sensitive to wrongful foreclosures, and am sure there have been many. But what's the error in this case? PNC doesn't own the mortgage? There is no mortgage? The borrower is current on payments?

Or, the borrower talked to someone at the bank who said he or she would "try to work something out"?

Or something in between?
