Detroit Wrath Yatra 2006

This clip took place at the Hare Krishna Detroit "Ratha Yatra" Festival 2006. It shows a Hare Krishna devotee being attacked by so-called leaders of his own religion for distributing a magazine called "Back to Prabhupada"(BTP) which promotes the movement's Founder as its only bona fide Guru.

Proof that Krishna Consciousness is just another self righteous fundamentalist religion. I am so glad I did not waste my spiritual path on ISKCON and their hypocrasies. If Prabhupad was such a great guru, then why are his followers always such a nasty bunch of judgemental morons? Look at all these postings, you guys calling each other names and throwing water on each other - what a sorry lot you are ! shame on you !

YOU CLAIM "Prabhupada said only a fool trusts his imperfect senses." If he said so why can't you quote him rather than give your own imperfect interpretation? Unless of course you consider YOURSELF perfect?

the point was if you put meat or pictures of liquor etc in a magazine and place a pic of prabhupada on the cover does that make it a holy magazine, if all the rest of the magazine is full of kali yuga articles? Only the pic of Prabhupada is sacred in such a magazine. Nothing else.

Are we to understand that YOU place no value on what Prabhupada says, only on what he looked like at a certain point in time?

@HarryK108 Exactly Harry. All of Prabhupada's words are taken out of context by the IRM. They are laughing stocks among Gaudiya Vaishnavas. The magazine is full of Vaishnava aparadha, offenses against devotees which Prabhupada himself said not to print, do not print the falldowns of the devotees. Prabhupada said!

this is a disgrace to our movement! we have the right to our opinions. why do they attack us becuase we say that Swami Srila Prabhupada is our only Guru in ISKCON? i hope Bhagavan Krishna has Mercy on them because they need it.

You can't prove anything can you Harry K. Everything based on the imperfect senses is wrong. We can only learn by hearing. And the problem with the IRM is they speculate to death. Give up the IRM and go back to ISKCON or else die a miserable death, a death without the necessary link of the disciplic succession.

The famous quote about not printing the news of the devotees falldowns came after one sannyasi fell down and devotees did just that, the story is in the Lilamrta. Prabhupada said that by broadcasting the falldown of that sannyasi the devotees made it impossible for him to come back. Do you think you know better than Srila Prabhupada? Because Krishna Kant Desai admits knowing of this quote yet justifies printing the falldowns of the devotees in spite of what Prabhupada said.
