3.0 v6 are way better than a 4 banger more power and last longer so I dont know who told you that

@shiznit480 i've heard alot of storys about people who own the V6 rangers, they say they tend to have more trouble with them. Plus 4 cylinders get better mileage, and in this day and age I wouldn't want to drive any gas guzzlers.

@thecardude look it up the best ranger motor is the 4.0 but the 3.0 is a whole lot better then the 4cyl so it says in the magaines

@johntedrowjr Maybe, but still, in this day and age, considering I only have a minimum wage job, and todays gas prices, i'd much rather have something that gets good mileage.

Iv got a 2004 ford ranger 2.3L i use it for work cause the gas milage is ok.But to be honest it sucks ass.

Yeah I live in Portland Oregon. And yeah I wouldn't be surprised if it could. This truck is faster than I first thought it would be when I bought it. It gets up to speed rather quickly. I've driven a few V6's and I don't think they got up to speed quite as fast as this one. They have quite a lot of get up and go.

I see you have Oregon plates. You live near Portland? I have a 98 ranger that has almost 137,000 and it's still goin strong! It's the 2.5 not a 2.3. I was also told the 4 cyl can do better than the V6. The 2.3 engine also has more hp than the 2.5.
