One of, if not the most adventurous of sound creators within the Tokyo music scene since the mid-eighties is Otomo Yoshihide, turntable and guitar player. From a melting and forging process of sound, he weaves entirely new worlds of explosive possibility from this mixture upon which he continues to expand.
Otomo has explored the nature of sound in many different ways during his career. Over the last few years, Otomo has become increasingly interested in minimal wave-based electronics, as heard in his Filament and I.S.O projects.

  • @MLAOTNMCC Then don't listen to melodies.

  • @leeknivek melodies suck

  • @StephonST And that's exactly what it is.

  • Although he is quite created, it still sounds like a bunch of.. stuff.

  • @narkiz whatever if you want to listen to bullshit screeches and screaming and feedback, go ahead. it'd be one thing if he used it in a clever way and made it MUSICAL with a TIME SIGNATURE and RYTHYM not random and ridiculous. i may be deaf to your shite but at least i can write a fucking melody.

  • @narkiz 4 years ago, at the beginning of you tube i made this comment..ok...but yes i still stand by every single thing i said....we all make this music every minute of our existence, it is indeed the ritual of life..i would never pay someone to induct this into my brain. this is not from " a kung fu movies" but from the sound of dinner cooking and the beatings of the heart, the sweat of the palm, the throttle of coffee brewing and devolution of belief.

  • @leeknivek You have the mindset of a typical "cubehead."That means you've set ways of perceiving this world which happens to be "round".When you confront forms of expression that'snot well defined you scream "But this is not music!". it IS Music. And this man is a genius.I will tell you why he is a genius. He stirs in ME emotions I never felt before. If I respond to this sound, it means he's able to get his message to me.In your case you are DEAF to his message. It's your problem.

  • @elchasai you seem to be incredibly insecure. If you don't like it, you don't listen to it.

Who are you to dictate others WHAT to listen to?

  • @MrNoak2 why didn't you just copy and paste your last statement. bye.

  • @leeknivek I don't think it matters if it's takes talent or not. It's the end result that matters, not the means of getting there.
