@BeefHive LOL. You MUST to be an engine guy.
Your comment is NOT a very reassuring comparison if you're assigned to a truck company and your primary means of egress is cut off by more fire than a pump can can extinguish.
On the flipside,if tasked with ENGINE work and you are in the same situation,you have a way to get out via your hoseline and PLENTY of water to douse ANY flame that may threaten to consume or trap you.
Truckies don't have that luxury.

Forcible entry.
Searching for fire/victims
Controlling utilities.
Checking for fire extension.
These are BREAD & BUTTER tasks assigned to truck companies.
Notice NONE involve WATER,the primary fire extinguishing agent.
ELEVATED MASTER STREAMS are the ONLY association a truck company has with water.
This makes working on a truck slightly more hazardous than engine work.

@kalleok they are a ladder company they go in with no hose they do a search for victims and they vent they also find the fire the engine company brings a hose line
