One World Song, a brand new Canadian play written by emerging theatre artist Lester Lee.
One World Song is a collection of vignettes and stories exploring the affect of media and tragedy in the worlds of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Utilizing experimental theatre techniques, and multi-disciplinary art mediums, One World Song seeks to bridge the gap between tragedy half way around the world, and our indifferent televisions and movies of Canada.
One World Song explores transgressions and atrocities such as the Rwandan Genocide, The ongoing Crisis in Darfur, The Palestinian Conflict, The atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the American War in Iraq.
Performances take place at 7:30pm, May 29th, May 30th, May 31st and June 1st. There will also be a 2:00pm Matinee on June 1st.
Tickets are FREE (Although we will gladly accept any donations to the company to recoup production costs). Signup sheets will go up Week of performances at the Drama Office in the Fine Arts Building on UofA Campus. However you may email or message here to have tickets set aside for yourself.
This is your opportunity to witness the brand new performance of an experimental script and style of storytelling, and to provide feedback to the company of artists before we showcase our work later this year at the Edmonton Fringe. Please invite anyone and everyone you know!

Tons of familiar faces in this group. It's too bad I'm finding out about it a year and a half after the fact :P
