Presentazione tratturi e transumanza all'Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Amsterdam

Una serata dove il vino, l'arte e la cultura ci hanno riportato con stimoli ed emozioni ad una radice comune: la propria terra di origine.

The Tratturi: the green highways of the past, where herds of cows were led by knights and shepherds. Inns, hotels of the past ,stood along the way. The small churches, cast along the way, were holy shelters where men could prey the Great heavenly protector. During the past centuries millions head of cattle travelled through these Tratturi, marking history, economy and culture of Molise.
Tratturi were abandoned completely after second world war but nowadays the host again, in may and autumn, the transumanza: the shifting of a herd of cows, from the winter pastures of Gargano, Puglia, to the summer mountain pastures of Frosolone, Molise.
