The big gap in the middle is where I'm realizing I have the wrong line of g-code in the entry blank in EMC2 (on Linux, Ubuntu 6.06, "The Dapper Drake" on an old (c. 2002) Shuttle SS51G). I type in G0 Z0.1 to lower the head by 1/10", then type in G1 Xn, with n being whatever was the distance the part travels under the flycutter. I also check several times before I hit enter that I have the right powers of 10, negatives and positives, and specified axes. There's nothing like a flywheel heading in the wrong direction, destroying everything in its path.
what was your rpm on the spindle?
