Dear Friends,

From Jerusalem, the eternal, undivided capital of the Jewish people for the last 3004 years and forever, I send you my warmest greetings for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

The past year has been one of challenges for the State of Israel and the Jewish people. As we enter the year 5762, I know that your unwavering support and solidarity with the people of Israel will enable us to overcome all obstacles that lie ahead.

This is the time for all Jews to unite. The current crisis is a test to our Jewish heritage and our mutual responsibility to stand by each other. Israel is the only place in the world where Jews have the right and the capability to defend themselves by themselves. This right and capability must be preserved to guarantee the life, security and birthright of Jews everywhere.

On this Rosh Hashanah, I fervently pray that we will all be blessed with peace and security. Together, we can look towards the future with optimism. United, we can realize all our hopes and dreams.
