so we had no plans the entire time and we just had few destinations in mind that were portland, vancouver and seattle. we got in portland on friday 8/1, stayed at Joan and Brents house for 4 nights in portland. while there, we saw alot of parks, bridges, downtown area, saturday market, lucky lab brew pub, Lake Trillium / Mt Hood! EPICNESSS!!!!! floated in lake trillium looking up at Mt. Hood was def a highlight of the trip! left Portland area on Tues morning, got a rental car and headed out towards Cannon Beach for a pit stop. from there we drove up hwy 101 all the way up and throught Washington's Olympic National Forest and made a few stops along the way at various lakes, rivers, beaches (Ruby beach is the bomb!). stayed in a motel in Port Angelos, woke up wed morning, took the COHO ferry up to Victoria Island, drove through the city and then to this park right outside of the city. Spotted some friendlies enjoying the beautiful scenery and met up with a very nice canadian and we shared some laughs. Sat there and watched a cricket game and that was sooo coool to see that right when we got to canada. so after we had a few laughs and smiles with our Canadian buddy, Glen, we headed up the coast for more scenic drives and through some little towns along the way.

We drove up towards Sidney, BC and stopped and got lunch there and then onto ferry #2 that takes you from Victoria island, to vancouver, BC, we got a hotel and proceeded to check out the city and find some sushi! this city is just awesome! We headed over to Stanley Park and rollerbladed around the sea wall there for almost 4 miles. I was beat! we then enjoyed getting lost in stanley park and wandering around the lush redwood forest along the coast. so much fun and adventure to be had there! that night we found a great place called the Boat house right along the coast there and overlooking the beach and the sunset! had a great bottle of white wine that you can only get at this place. afterwards , walked along the board walk and enjoyed a huge ice cream cone. I was in heaven!!!

next day we headed over to Granville island so we could do some shopping. that place has some really great markets, bakeries, and all kinds of art places. we got some grub to take with us on the road from the market and headed down towards seatle, WA. crossed the boarder and came down to Seattle, Wa, met up with my buddy Robert and then we headed down towards pike place market, stopped in the Pike brewery there and got the sampler again. next day we had to leave and ironically, it was the only day we saw rain at all!
we had an absolute blast, we celebrated our 7th anniversary and just enjoy everything altogether! SUCH AN EPIC TRIP! Enjoy
