This week Neal takes a lesson request from chaos2themaxx on how to use the whammy bar. He'll give you some awesome tips on how it works and how to use it. Tip of the week is on feedback control. We have sound limitations in the studio so the feedback tip is not at full volume level and you won't hear the effect but if you follow the tip you'll be in feedback heaven!

  • Hey man where can i get an awesome old bc rich like that...when/where did you get yours mate, thanks.

  • @MrZiggycatt I actually got this one on Ebay, shipped from England.

  • hey can a whammy bar mess up your guitar?

  • @deathrider1432 It can cause your guitar to go out of tune easily, depending on the type of whammy bar. But it won't damage your guitar unless you do something crazy with it. -Neal

  • KAHLER'S RULE!!!!

  • Your whammy bar is way too tight, man. spin it counter-clockwise a couple of times, it should be able to fall to a downward position on its own, not be stuck in a horizontal position. it can wreck your strings and tuning pegs if you keep it that tight.

  • Look at the E-string at 1:34

  • good lesson.

  • just to say people, dont try and do these tricks on a standard guitar, you'll mess it up! if youre looking at using a tremelo arm on a strat, look at how daviod gilmour uses his in is solos

  • @Guitartricks It's an amazing looking guitar, what year is it from do you know?

  • @nick61729 Get some lighter strings.

  • "if you have a Fender Strat this probably won't work"
