Minecraft: Blaze / XP farm - Beat Them With The Rod Of Correction

Following on from my last video I finally got the mob softener working for one of the two blaze spawners after much trial and tribulation.

As I mentioned in that last video Blazes grant ten xp per so I skipped all the overworld spawners in favour of this setup. Love DocM, Etho etc but for me ten XP beats five by a factor of two. Besides, the nether stronghold is close to my portal and much closer than any convenient pair of spider spawners : )

Thanks for the video. How do you hit the blazes from that distance? In mine (on SMP) I have to stand underneath the glass and look upward to hit the blazes with my Rod of Correction. This exposes me to their attacks. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks

I have a question for you I was wondering how you suffocate them like that. Can you show the redstone behind the suffocation process. Because I don't understand I thought you just use repeaters and put them at the max amount of ticks and hook them up to a piston. Can you do a tutorial on how to create pistons extending for a specific amount of time.

@SirRobHiFi Thanks SOOOOO much I have perfected my blaze spawner its huge but I like it like that. Your tutorial was perfect. One question, have you ever heard of a youtuber by the name of EthosLab? I'm not promoting his channel but I think you guys should make some redstone creations because you both know a LOT about redstone circuitry.
