Welcome to MISSISSAUGAWATCH! Please visit our Blog at: www.mississaugawatch.ca
On March 14, 2009, we were privileged to attend the perfect wedding. The reception was held at Ottawas National Arts Centre. Some time during the evening, those going for a smoke on the second floor balcony became aware that Prime Minister Stephen Harper was downstairs watching a production of The Wizard of Oz.
What LUCK!
This afforded MISSISSAUGAWATCH the opportunity to conduct a bed-side manner test of Mr. Harpers security staff.
Bottomline, they were terrific. Zero doubt they were watching everything to ensure our Prime Ministers safety. Yet they did that with subtlety as well as good humour. They smiled. They chatted and answered questions of the public.
MISSISSAUGAWATCH gives Stephen Harpers security personnel TWO THUMBS UP! Theyre WORLD CLASS and FINESTKIND.
Also not to mention that RCMP Headquarters you see at the beginning is also slowly moving out to Barrhaven, a suburb of Ottawa in the Southwest. Funny thing is that the RCMP that actual patrols Ottawa is along St. Joseph road in Gloucester.
To add onto the Department of National Defence building, they also do not like photos being taken of that building. On the topic of those Pelcos, they're all over Ottawa. The RCMP has a few on public roadways up in the richest part of Ottawa, Rockcliffe.

Welcome to Ottawa! I've been watching for videos for a while now and this was a nice surprise considering Ottawa is my home town. The First Pelco you see is actually a public security camera for our transit system, OC Transpo. It can also be viewed by Rideau Centre security which is that building it is attached to. The Second Pelco you see across the street is attached to the Department of National Defence Headquaters. I am not sure who operates that camera but I assume DND does.

Yeah where the Sears was, it was at the Mackenzie King Bridge OC Transpo Transitway Station. The Rideau Centre is on one side of the Transitway, and the National Defence is on the other.
