Former CEO and President of Ryder, M. Anthony Burns, talks about the Day of Service that took place
on Saturday, April 25th. Burns went to three service projects throughout the day. He first went to Citrus
Grove Elementary where volunteers planted trees and plants at the school. Principal, Gwendolyn Haynes
Evans, and Miami-Dade County Public School official, Leslie Bowe, were also there. Burns introduced Director of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, Carl Lewis. Lewis and his team advised volunteers on what to plant and how to landscape the school. LDS Church representatives Mark Brown and Albert Benzion who serve as Stake Presidents in their Miami congregations also spoke.
