From 1967. This Chicago group started out as a 'garage' band, but after 1969 they became better known for their jazz-rock sound. Often compared with bands like Chicago and Blood, Sweat and Tears, The Flock unfortunately did not achieve the same commercial success.

  • @irvpav yes but not on this record

  • this song take me back was before the J Goodman stuff All I know is that I got to see them play almost every week in Chicago and the BURBS rock on guys !

  • My brother Mike was in a band at Waukegan High School named The Associated Press. They did all of these songs from The Mauds, The Buckinghams, etc. I was born in '67 so some of my very earliest memories are of hearing these songs blasting from our basement.. LOL

  • My diary entry dated 1st January 1974 reminds me that this tune was hugely popular on the 'Northern Soul' scene at the time!!!!

  • This is a cool song. These guys should have made it big. They were underrated, I think. This is a very talented band that, in my opinion, got overlooked. I mean, this is a great song from the '60's.

Anyway, thanks for posting this great song :)

  • @pleza1 I checked out the site. Boy what a find. I'll spend some time there having recognized many names in the friends. Thank You.TTYL

  • @A1MaxJones You sound so old school Waukegan. It's funny. My brother just sent me an old Wild Goose calendar today and the Flock was on it, so I had to hear this song. I sure did like the live version better. Check out the "Waukegan area bands 50's 60's 70's 80's" on Facebook. Gturk
