WarCraft II Tides Of Darkness, Alliance Lore 2: Ambush

The second video in my mini-series of lore in WarCraft II. Full title should read "WarCraft II Tides Of Darkness, Alliance Lore 2: Ambush At Tarren Mill".

Story: Orcish warriors has taken a band of elven scouts from Silvermoon hostage in a camp northwest of Tarren Mill. king Terenas has ordered that the regional commander organize a rescue party to search for the elves in hope to start an alliance with the high elves.

OK SO LET MY UNDERSTAND this game was created by Blizzard entraintment?????? The same blizzard entraintment that made warcraft 3 and WoW wel guys this game sucks a bit ..... I aws sure it was better ... wel the blizzard entraintment has made alot of progreses so they could have created games like war 3...Wel lets hope War 4 will come soon

The game was released in the early 90's, what did you expect, Crysis? In my opinion, and I know many people agree with me, WarCraft 2 is so much better than the rest of the WarCraft games. And don't come telling me about graphics, because I won't give a damn.

I love warcraft 2. i used to play it every sunday after the school... but i lost my playing disc and i've never played again.. it's awful that most of the people that play Wow have never played this game or Orcs and human, couse they missed a lot of fun and history of the original game.. thank god i'm from the old guard

@horiahunter Yea, truly I was an asshole back then, 13 year old kid..I remember the days I was a douchebag.. Well,now that I got the ocasion,let me apologise to everyone for my affirmation..

I am deeply sory for my stupidity back then,and for the fact that I commented without thinking..

I hope ye guys can forgive me for bashing such a great game, and let's hope that 13 year olds,will learn from my mistakes :)

@robintheknight Graphics to games are like special effects to movies. If story and/or gameplay sucks, the graphics/special effects don't matter! I didn't like the way they made story in Warcraft 3 and above all, i hate the WoW gameplay. It looks like they got ideas from Quake where people strafe-jump and bunny-hop all the time!

@jimraynorful True enough, WarCraft 3 is quite cartoonish of graphics, there's no denying that. Still, I feel that the lore's depth and magnificency depends quite much on the player. Someone might not like it that much, but I confess that I like WarCraft 3's lore and plot.

Also I must add that you're right about StarCraft, too. I can't wait for the next chapters to come. However, when comparing Star and WarCraft both their plots and gameplay work well, imo. StarCraft just has better graphics.

@TheTwilightUnicorn yeah,you're right,but you have to admit that in Warcraft 3 and what followed they have chosen a style too "cartoonish"...Tides of Darkness(great title,poor game) could have been the starting point for a lore as great as THE LORD OF THE RINGS(at least the film),but Blizzard failed in this...instead, in Starcraft it has been created something magnificent which improves in the time...

@cyberdaemon I agree you;the idea to put importance in single heroes and something else was good,but if in the very first campaign I was excited,the more I played the game,the more I felt something was wrong...
