oh, and kudos to superkovu. Yes Gm did make a 4.3l V-8 for the b cars early to mid 90's.

OK, I built it. thought I should clear some things up. 1st, it IS a Chevrolet Astro van. 2nd, Astro IS a Mini-van, as it is NOT a full sized van. 3rd, It has a front subframe/engine cradle, not an S-10 frame.4th, They NEVER came from GM with a V-8 engine, early astros were avail with 4 cyl, or (most popular) 4.3l V-6. When the 4.3l V-6 blew up, I replaced it with a GM "ZZZ" performance parts 350ci V-8. (yes 350ci=5.7liters) Thank you all for your comments, keeps things interesting. rgould.
