That fear is not too far off from people who go into and practice other forms of witchcraft or shamanism. And many do and end up not sticking with it because its not right for them, or they grow out of it. True people will be called to a faith and work hard to understand why they are called and to stick with it.
I wouldn't say that an African-American shouldn't be a Presbyterian, so I shouldn't presume to say that a Scots-American shouldn't be into Voodoo. My fear here is that involvement is mostly a matter of romance--Marie Laveau, etc.
