The Sumatra Project

I went to Nias Island after the Tsunami and made a promise to bring back surfboards for the local kids that had lost their possessions when the wave swept into the bay.
Up until that point in my life, I was only interested in my own pleasures.
This was the first real promise that I ever kept and it has changed the course of my life and become the catalyst for EPMOV.
Channel Island Surfboards sent my brother and I back to Nias with a box of team rider boards, which we used to start a surfboard cooperative with Joli and Anton Dachi, two of the best surfers in the area.
