@SENAFOREVER many italian singers still have it. mariella Devia, Daniella Dessi has better rendition, effortless legato, and dark, full fioritura which Gruberova lacks. just because nowadays recording monopoly too merchandizesd to introduce those wonderful singers(have voice, but lack of Anna-like showwomen-ship) to world.

It is a prompter or just a very vocal audience member? Who ever it is, I definitely hear it and its a woman. I love this version though. Even though her runs are approximate, she keeps the piece moving, unlike some recordings I've heard which have been so sluggish they become boring!

Bravissima! She has what is so lacking to most singers nowodays: that perfect tone production, that cutting ping center in the tone which brings effortless legato, clear diction, even scale, perfect pitch....
Of course there are exceptions like Tézier, Massis, Devia, Calleja, Howard Haskin...but all too often that instrumental quality is absent nowodays.
