I remember listening to this long before 1974 or 5. It could have been as early as late 71 or 72

@xwsftassell Kraftwewrk were/are awesome but Giorgio Morodor invented much of electronic music as well. Forget the Donna Summer disco stuff he did, dig in to the other stuff he did, some of it was ground breaking and incredibly psychedelic.

This likely blew away an unsuspecting 1975 American audience.

konnte mann 1985 mehr aussehen als karl bartos 1975 ...

Well, popular electronic music, anyway. Terry Riley and Stockhausen were doing some crazy stuff a little before this.

Pretty incredible. This kind of thing simply did not exist before them, nor did most of the percussion instruments they're playing. They needed to invent them to get the sounds they wanted. HUGELY influential, basically all of electronic music flows from them.

Wow! I've never seen that one before. Fantastisch! I'm still reeling from the shock of finding out that Kraftwerk didn't have sequenced drum-machines for Trans Europe Express. All the percussion was done manually with those knitting needle things!

I like these older performances where you can definitely tell it is a live performance, as it is not exactly like the studio version. In the later live touring videos, everything is so well polished that I'm not sure they are actually playing.
